Vincent last evening;— Fair to fino weather is indicated, with cold night temperatures and inland frosts, conditions becoming milder gradually, cloudiness increasing for chango to follow shortly, succeeded by rain in northern districts, gradually extending southward. Variable and moderate breezes, northerly to north-easterly winds, modcrato to strong, prevailing and increasing. Rough seas developing ot) the East .Coast. GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows:—A rather intense anti-cyclono now covers New Zealand. Tlio cyclone on the New South Wales coast has moved southwards and apparently lias lost, intensity Indications are for south-west to southerly winds, light to moderate becoming variable and later tending northerly. Seas in New Zealand waters generally smooth to moderato. Winds tending northerly in the eastern Tasxnan Sea and later freshening. Seas smooth to moderate. Weather generally fine. Cool nights, but mild day temperatures.
