Owing to the delay the vessel's departure for Sydney has been postponed until 10 o'clock to-night. H.M.S. LABURNUM AT SUVA. H.M.S. Laburnum, which is on a cruise to the South Sea Islands, reached Suva from Ocean Island on Sunday evening. Ihe warship is scheduled to remain at Suva for it week, and then cruise in the I'iji group until about the middle of September, when sho will return to Suva before leaving the Islands for Auckland. THE HERTFORD. In continuation of her voyage from Liverpool the Federal Lino, steamer Hertford was despatched for Napier. Wellington, Lvttelton, Port Chalmers and liniaru last evening. Owing to machinery trouble which developed when tho vessel was in the Rangitoto Channel she returned to port and anchored in the stream to effect repairs. She is expected to sail again this morning. VESSELS TO BE RE-ENGINED. Tho Richardson Company's auxiliary vessel Koau and the company's small steimer Koutunui are to come to Auckland about tha end of August to bo re-engined. They avo each to be litted with FairbanksMorso twin screw tfil engines. At present Iho Koau has a benzine engine and the Koutunui is steam driven. They aro both wooden vessels. Tho Koutunni's tonnage is 171 gross and sho was built at Auckland in 1910. The Koau v/as built at To Kopiiru in 1917 and her tonnage is Ml. Both vessels are used in the company's coastal trade between Napier and the Kast Coast bays between Napier and Wellington.
