AUCKLAND GUN CLUB.
CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING. The Auckland Gun Club held a series of matches at Pakuranga on Saturday under very unfavourable cojulitiona. The first 10 birds match was divided by C. E. Hodge, (18yds), 11. 11. Bartley (15yds), aud D. Hyauiason (11yds), with nine kills. Tho chief match for tlio Pakuranga Farmers' trophy, resulted in a tie between C. E. Hodge (19yds). It. H. Bartley (IGyda) and M. Delicti (15yds). with 12 kills out of 15. In the shoot-ofT Bartley missed on tho twenty-third round. Delieh the twentyfifth round, Hod&o getting his bird and winning. Tho final shoot, a gimcrack match, was won outright by W. J. Turner, with the possiblo of seven. C. E. Hodge. It. H. Bartley, W. 11. Hazard , and M. Delich dividing second money with five each. There will be a series of sparrow matches next Wednesday.
