BLIND WORKERS.

Sir,—l write on behalf of the many poor blind people of the city who daily have to go to and fro seeking their livelihood, to inquire why something could not bo done to grant free rides on the street cars for those who are so severely handicapped by the affliction of blindness. I think this could bo done for all blind who require it, as it is already done for blind returned soldiers. I understand it is the custom in other large centres of New Zealand. Then why not Auckland 7 Jean Valjean.
