QUEENSLAND" EMPLOYEES. RACIAL QUESTION THE CAUSE. BRISBANE. June 3. The Police Journal draws attention to rumours of threatened racial troubles on the sugar fields in North Queensland. It urges increasing the strength'of the police in the affected areas. The agreement made by the Australian Workers' Union with the mill-owners limiting the number of foreigners to be employed is the genesis of the, unrest.
