WAIKATO WINTER SHOW.

SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION. RECORD IN CASH RECEIPTS. [BV TELEGRAPH. —OWN COR RESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Monday. The Waikato Winter Show Association closed the most successful exhibition in its history this evening. Nearly 13,000 adults, besides hundreds of children, paid for admission to-dav and all previous records for attendance were broken. The association was extraordinarily fortunate with respect to (he weather, which-could not have been more favourable from the time the show opened last Tuesday afternoon until this evening. A concert programme by the Hamilton Caledonian Society was contributed this evening before a very large audience. The door takings to day amounted to £642, as against £591 for the last day of the 1928 fixture. The door receipts for the six days ended this evening totalled £2521, as against £2418 last year. At the close of the show the president, Mr. A. K. Alexander, heartily congratulated everyone who had contributed to the success of the exhibition. He said the results achieved were something of which the people of the Waikato could well be proud.
