Harrison, of the Egg Federation, Melbourne, that the high protective tariff was a factor prejudicing the export of eggs to Canada-is taken exception to by Mr. 0. Jr. Croft., Canadian Trade Commissioner. Mr.- Croft points out that there is no duty on Australian or New Zealand eggs entering Canada. PROPERTY SALES. A property of lx acres with 3| acres of native bush and country home, adjoining the Mnnurewa Puriri Park Reserve, offend at auction yesterday by Messrs. Palethorpe and Parkes, failed to reach the reserve.
