Estimates for the financial year, 1929-30, were placed before the Waiihi ! Borough Council at its first monthly meeting last evening. The total revenue * from all sources was estimated at £21,351 ./ Is: 6d, and the expenditure at £21,457 Bssld,. including an overdraft of £l6B 3s i 2d, on April 1, 1929, leaving an antici- ■■ paled debit balance at March 31, 1930, of > £lO6 7s 2d. The chief item on the expenditure side is £10,485 for maintenance, j wages and replacements in the town.
