SIR JAMES PARR'S FIGURES,

Australian Press Association —United Service LONDON. May -22. The High Commissioner for New Zealand, Sir James Parr, has been re-elected president of the Australian and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce. He said the present prosperity of Australia and New Zealand was a causo for congratulation.

The Australian population in the last 15 years had increased by 29 per cetit., and its trade by 92 per cent. The population of New Zealand in that- period had increased by 34 per cent., and her trade by 123 per cent. Australia in 1928 derived per cent, of her imports from Britain, and Now Zealand 48 per cent. The two countries together wero Britain's best customer.
