WEDDING.

JOHNSTONE—BROOKS. A wedding of considerable local interest both to Kaipaki and Waharoa residents was solemnised on Tuesday, April 30, in St. David's Church, Waharoa, when Miss Ellen Mary Johnstone, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Johnstone, of Wardville, Waharoa, late of Kaipnki, was married to Mr. Raymond Osmond Brooks, second son of I\lr. and Mrs. J. Brooks, of Mount Eden. The Rev. A. C. Hampton, assisted by the Rev. Or. Brown, performed the ceremony, and Mrs. Wilson played (lie organ music. Tho bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a picture frock of ivory georgette over satin. The slender bodice was inset with a deep yoko of lace, and was finished with a tiny basque of tho same lace, edged with silver. The full skirt was set in tiny folds from waist to hemline, and was caught up at tho side with a spray of orange blossom. The veil of embroidered tulle, which formed a long train, was edged with silk lace, and was arranged on the head with a coronet of laeo and a cluster of orange blossom over each car. She carried a sheaf of roses, chrysanthemums and fern. The bride was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Eva Johnstone, her sister, and Miss Laura Teddy, of Ohaupo. Tho former woro a frock of palo pink georgette over satin, with an uneven hemline, and finished at the waist with pale pink velvet flowers. She carried a posy of pink chrysanthemums and roses. The latter wore a frock of palo mauve georgette over satin, fashioned on the same linos, and she carried a posv of mauve chrysanthemums and roses. Both bridesmaids wore picture hats of pastel-shaded felt, ornamented with a pink medallion and appliqued in gold Little Alex Macdonnld was flower girl, and was dressed in eau-fle-nil taffeta with a wreath of tiny flowers on her hair. She carried a basket of flowers. Mr. W. Johnstone, brother of the bride, attended the bridegroom as best man and Mr. C. Ford was groomsman.
