THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE. GILT-EDGED STOCKS SELL, The market for gilt-edged stocks was firm on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Inscribed Stock, 1933, per cent., sold at £99 12s 6d, 12s 6d above the last sale in October, 1928. The 5£ per Qint., issue was dono at the ruling price, £lOl Ss. Auckland Harbour Board debentures, 1940, 5£ per cent., again changed hands at £lOl.

In banks Nationals of Australasia were done 6d easier at £l9 15s 6d, and New Zealands sold at 62s and 61s 9d, compared with the last sale at 625. In insurance Sout.h British were again done at 63s 6d with further inquiry at the price, sellers 64s 3d.

In loan and agency Goldsbrough, Morts sold at 535, an advance of 2d .above the last local sale toward the end of March. In coal Pukemiros had sale at 60s and 59s 6d compared with 62s 6d at the last sale. Taupiris again changed hands at 275. In gas Aucklands were done twipe at 24s sd, Id below the last sale. Mora were offered at the price, buyers a penny lower.

In the miscellaneous section KempthorneProssers had salo at 755, ex div., compared with 81s 3d, cum div., in March, In mining Ohincmuris fell another penny, selling at, 7s lid. " ' YESTERDAY'S SALES.
