COLOURED CLASS BALLS.
■ Coloured glass balls in a bowl have been on the society dining tables in London, owing to tho scarcity of flowers. The fancy is said to bo very effective, and is derived from the 18th century bauble —the witch ball. The modern taste for vivid colours has given plenty of work to the glass blowers, who have made copies of the largo balls of coloured glass, which were supposed to bring good fortune and immunity from, .witchcraft in the olden days*
