A COMEDIAN'S SMILE.

St. Granier, the comedian with the largest smile on the French stage, who has been slightly hurt in a motoring accident, is suing the French postal administration for having broadcast the " news " of his suicide.

• The broadcast, heard in 100,000 homes, brought messages of condolence, while the comediap's sleep was disturbed in the small hours by a journalist ringing for permission to view his body. This request was repeated by ten other journalists. The result was that the famous smilo completely vanished.
