Stating lie had been wrongly adjudicated bankrupt as a partner in the firm of Hirst and Son, builders, Frederick Cecil Ilirst, a painter, convinced creditors of the firm, who met at tlio office of the official assignee yesterday, that ho was in no way connected with the business, Mrs. Annie Ilirst and F. C. Ilirst, trading as Hirst and Son, were adjudicated bankrupt on a motion made in tho Supreme Court on behalf of Smith and Smith, Limited. F. C. Crowhurst, stating she was in hospital.

A statement submitted by F. C. Hirst read: ''l am not a member of the partnership carrying on business in Auckland as Hirst and Son, builders, nor have I ever had any interest in such partnership. I owe no money at all to Smith and Smith, Limited, and judgment has been wrongly taken by them against me." "Apparently the wrong son has been made bankrupt," said Mr. Crowhurst. "A Mr. 11. E. Hirst lias stated he is the brother concerned."

It was stated there were certain properties in the name of Mrs. Hirst, and it would be possible to realise on these. Arrangements were left in tho hands of the official assignee, who agreed to call a further meeting when Mrs. Hirst was available.
