BUILDER'S' FIVE OFFENCES

TIMARU, Thursday
Tn /the Polierf Court to-day Henry .Abbott, builder of Oamaru, was fined £75 and costs on each of five charges of making false income tax returns. Defendant said lie had always furnished bis returns up to time. lie had no knowledge of book-keeping, and had made up his returns lo the best of his ability.
