SCANDAL IN AIR FORCE.
ALLEGED LARGE THEFTS.
MUCH EQUIPMENT MISSING.
SCOTLAND YARD INQUIRING
(Received April 3, 11.5 p.m.) United Service. LONDON, April 3. The Scotland Yard authorities are reported to bo investigating a series of alleged large thefts of stores and equipment, including important aeroplane engine parts, at the Royal Air I 1 orce aerodrorno at Henlow.
One item alone, according to the Daily Mirror, is alleged to amount to £IO,OOO. It is stated (hat a week ago two of the leading air craftsmen at Henlow aerodrome wero court-mart iallcd on serious charges, but sentence has not yet been promulgated. The Daily Mirror says tho inquiries by Scotland Yard may be extended to other Air Force depots.
