ANZAC AVENUE PURCHASES,

OVER £36,000 INVOLVED.

MERCHANDISE FIRM'S PREMISES,

Two four-storeyed structures in Anzac Avenue, Windsor Buildings and Scott's Buildings, have been purchased by Oswald M. Smith and Company, Ltd., for between £36,000 and £37,000. The head office of the firm is in Dunedin, and there are branches in nine centres in the Dominion. The organisation handles general merchandise and machinery. Windsor Buildings were recently completed by Mr. T. Clements, the Auckland builder. There is a frontage of 52ft. to Anzac Avenue, and a depth of 80ft. The new owners will occupy 'the premises within a month, a move being made from the offices in Anzac Avenue, in which the business of the firm has been conducted for some years. The company has a capital of £200,000.
