WEDDINGS.

ALLEMAN-EISiS. A wedding of interest to a large circlo of friends was celebrated on Saturday evening in St. Aidan's Church, Remuera, when Miss Nancy Holm Biss, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Holm Biss, of Victoria Avenue, Remuera, was married to Mr. Surrey Alleman, only son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Alleman, of Now Plymouth. The Rev. IL A. Coleman performed the ceremony. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a gown of ivory satin beaute and parchment lace. The satin bodice, which was sleeveless and tight-fitting, was . ornamented at the neck and waist with narrow strands of white ribbon held in position with pearls, and the lace j,kirfcv was arranged in full scalloped tiers forming an u leven hemlino. The veil of lace, which wis an heirloom in the bride's family, was a ranged oil tho head with a circlet of oiango blossom and fell with billowing folds of soft tulle to form a train, the latter finishing with largo tassels of white silk and pearls. She carried a bouquet of cream and pale pink roses. Tho bridesmaids wore Miss Mildred Alleman and the bride's two sisters, Miss Hilary Biss and Miss Phyllis Biss. All three were dressed alike in frocks of pale petunia taffeta and net. The close-fitting bodices were of taffeta, and the long bouffant skirts of gold spotted pink net were made with the uneven hemline inset with bands of petunia taffeta. Their pink felt hats wero bordered with tulle, and ihey curried ! bouquets of pale pink, bluo and mauvo flowers. The two little train bearers, Mavis St. Clair Brown and Bulcie Mahon, wore palo petunia taffeta frocks with transparent net hems and ruched taffeta embroidery the skirts, with little pink and gold brocaded Juliette caps. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Weild Paterson as best man, and Mr. Stanley Biss and Mr. Alan St. Clair Brown were groomsmen. Acting as ushers were Mr.R. Wylde Browne, Mr. N. Rathbone, Mr. 0. Rainger, Mr. A. Bremner, Mr. R. Barr and Mr. 11. St. Clair Brown. Following the ceremony a reception washeld at tho home of the bride's parents in .Victoria Avenue A large marquee had been erected on the lawn and was decorated with pink dahlias, .white Michaelmas daisies and ferns, the lights being softened with pink shades. Mrs. Biss wore a gown of black pintucked ninon and ficelle lace with a coatee of black Oriental stamped panne velvet. With it she wore a delphinium blue felt hat and carried a bouquet of bluo flowers. Mrs. Alleman wore a black embroidered georgette frock, draped and caught in the front with a diamante buckle, and a coatee of black georgette heavily beaded in gold and silver. Her black felt hat was swathed to the' side with black and gold and she carried a bouquet of autumntinted flowers. . Among tho guests who were present were:—Mrs. A. St. Clair Brown, who wore a frock of black georgette over snellpink embroidered with pink and blue flowers; Mrs. J. F. Brown, .eau de ml georgette embroidered with crystal beads; Mrs H. J. D. Mahon, black georgette embroidered with rhinestones and an Oriental wrap; Miss Biss, beige fiowered chiffon over silver grey; Mrs. Sydney Worsp (Whangarei), black georgette beaded in silver; Miss E. E. Bleazard, ravenswing-bluo georgette; Miss L°is Mahon, apricot georgette embroidered with diamante; Mrs. E. Morton, black lace over ficelle georgette; Mrs. Stanley Brown, Miss G. The Waipu Presbyterian Church was (he scene of tho wedding ori Wednesday, March 27, of Miss Jean McJfillan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Munro McMillan, of the Braig'n, Waipu, to_ Mr. Roderick Henry Finlayson, of Ruriri, son of Mr. Philip A. Finlayson. The officiating minister was flie Rev. G. W. Blair, and Mrs. W. Muller was the organist. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. Norman McMillan, wore a frock of crepe moree and silk lalce, with a tight-fitting corsage, and full skirt with an uneven hemline. Her veil was of Honiton lace, winch formed a train embroidered in pearls and orange blossoms, and held in place with a pearl head-dress. She carried a bouquet of white dahlias and asparagus fern. Miss Anna McMillan attended her sister as bridesmaid, and wore a frock of pale green crepe de chine with a bouffant skirt of tullo. Her head-dress was also of tulle to tone, and she carried a banquet of pale pink dahlias. The best man- vras Mr. Lan Finlayson, of Manurewa.

Tho wedding was celebrated in St. David's Church, Khyber Pass, on Saturday afternoon of Miss Joan Alison Leslie, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Leslie, of. Epsom, to Mr. James Francis Stewart, "only son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Stewart, of Eastbourne, Wellington. The officiating minister was the Rev. J. A. Thomson, and Mr. F. Crespin played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a frock of shell pink georgette. The bodice was tight-fitting, and tho skirt hung in handkerchief points, edged with silver lace. Her pink tulle veil was secured with bunches of tiny pink rosebuds, and she carried a bouquet of palest pink carnations and cnrtus dahlias. The matron of honour. Mi's. H. C. Spinley, sister of the bride, and the bridesmaid, Miss Marjorio Stewart, sister of the bridegroom, wore frocks of torquoise blue georgette _ with light-fitting bodices, and full skirt dipping at the back, and edged with silver Their hats were of blue felt trimmed with silver stitching and silver ribbon tied in a flat bow. Their bouquets were of pink flowers with touches of blue. The little flower trill, Miss Dorolhy Leslio, sister of the bride, wore a sheh' pink geortjet e frock, the skirt of which was entirely of frills. Her hat, was of felt' to tone, and sho carried a posy of pastel shades.* . Tha best man was Mr. J. Perrv, of Wellington. and Mr. G. 11. Leslie.- brother ofthe bride, was groomsman. The bride, mother, Mrs. Leslio, wore a draped frock of rinsr velvet, figured in brown 3nd beice 'Her larc;o felt hat was of the same tomngs, and she also wore a brown mmx stoic.
