DANCING AT DIXIELAND.
There was a large number of dancers at Dixieland on Saturday evening and the coloured lighting effects met with much appreciation. Over tho alcoves branches of roso pink blossoms ware arranged, which toned with the shaded walls. On the tables pink and yellow zinnias added colour to the scene. The popular fox trot, "Evening Star," was played by Mr. H. Neilson and his orchestra, and another dance number, which was enthusiastically received, was "Too Busy." Tho sparkling Juvenile Cabaret dancers gave solo and troupe numbers in the latter part of the evening.

Jennings, pale pink lace and georgette; Miss Ellis Alison, white and floral crepo satin; Miss Leslie Roberton, pale blue beaded georgette; Miss Auarey Alison, white tulle and satin; Miss McKinlav, gold lace and tulle; Mis; Joan Hudson, rose pink taffeta; Miss J. Johnston, lavender taffeta with French bow; Miss E. Grant, cedar rose taffeta; Miss Jean Gordon, cardinal red and white figured georgette; Miss M. Smith, white georgette with diamante trimming; Miss I" red a Gaudin, peach satin appliqued in cream; Miss Hildred Graham, bois do rose frilled taffeta; Miss C. Little, pink and mauve shot taffeta; Miss R. Franklin, amvthist frilled georgette with shoulder posy to tone. Miss Keen wore leaf green taffeta with uneven hemline; Miss Clay, sunset shaded crepo do chine and gold lace; Miss B. Alexander, black lace with orchid posy; Miss P. Evans (Wellington), black taffeta with black and pink lace: Miss Perdom, black taffeta: Miss Singer, mauve georgette; Miss Girdler, saxe blue georgette embroidered in rose pink; Miss M. Gider, jade green georgette and ecru laco; Miss Webster, almond green frilled georgette; Miss Howes, white and floral taffeta and green shawl; Miss Evans, scarlet crepe do chine; Miss Allan, black ring velvet and silver laco; Miss E. Allan, primrose georgette; Miss Nai'di, scarlet and gold tissue; Miss Newell, apple green crepe de chine and French flowers; Miss P. Watkinson, Arcadian blue taffeta and pink tulle: Miss I. Capstick, lemon taffeta; Miss G. Hall, black and rose beaded georgette: Miss 1 1 . Hall, shell pink and silver georgette; Miss Doreen Cook, forest green georgette with uneven hemline; Miss M.
