SUCCESSFUL INSTALLATION. HIGHER SPEED IN TRIALS. Australian Press Association—United Service (Received March 31, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, March 30.
The trials of the Peninsular and Oriental Company's branch liner Baradine, after reconditioning and the installation of Bauer-Welch oil-burning machinery, resulted in a speed of 16£ knots, compared with 14 prior to reconditioning.
