AN AFTERNOON TEA.
Members of tho Auckland Hospital Auxiliary DepGt Committee were the guiests of Mrs, Arthur Wakeman, convener, and Mrs. Hammond Hyde, secretary, at a do-' lightful afternoon tea held in tfoe Tudor tearooms yesterday. It was a very friendly and sociable finale to a wonderfully good year's record of work, and before the mem-, bei's parted Mrs. Wakeman thanked them cordially for the very fine way in which they had co-operated in carrying it out. It was due to this co-operation that they had been able to organise and achieve so> much. She hoped that everyone vrould; havo a most pleasaht Christmas 'holiday. Among thoso who were present were: The Mayoress, Mrs. Campbell, Mrs. Al-J fred Kidd, Mrs. H. B. Maguire, Mrs. {Sneddon, Mrs. Dry'sdale, Mrs. Garlick, Mrs, Kirk. Miss Ormond, Mrs. C. L. Bradley,, Mrs. E. K. Smith, Mrs. S. Ellis, Mrs.,;! Bruce, Mrs. Sheldon. Mrs. Whitehead,,L Mrs. Duncan, Miss Button, Mrs. HarnV son, Mrs. Wallace, Miss Wagstaff, Mrs. B Hague, Mrs. Carr-Smith, Mrs. Neil. Mrs. Michaels, Mrs. Raeburn, Mrs. M. Harris and Mrs. Tnttersfield. The tables had been arranged in an open oblong and were decorated with pink sweet peas in low vases and bowls. Mi's. Wakeman worts an almond-green jumper suit • and mist-grey hat, appliqued in green to match. Mrs. Hammond Hvdo was in rose-pink crepe de chine and black hat.
