SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS.
CAMP AT AVONDALE.
Preparations arc well advanced on the Avondale racecourse for the annual camp and convention of the Seventh Day Advcntists, which opens on Thursday, December 27, and concludes on January 6. Already about 60 tents have been erected, and by Thursday the full quota of 150 will bo in position. A marquee with a capacity of 800 persons will be provided, and there will be two smaller marquees for tho accommodation of infants and children. Each family will be allotted a tent, and it is expected that 500 people will be under canvas. Elaborate arrangements have been made for catering for this number, meat being barred from tho camp. Attending the camp will be Pastor A. G. Daniels, of tho United States, who began his evangelistic mission in Auckland over 40 years ago and who will represent the general conference of Seventh Day Adventists of America. There will also be Pastor Fletcher, vicepresident of the Union Conference of Australia and New Zealand; Pastor J. H. Piper, secretary of the Australian and New Zealand Conference; and between 15 and 20 local ministers. The routine includes Bible study from 6.30 a.m. until 7.30 a.m., followed by breakfast, and Bible study from 9.30 a.m. until 10.30 a.m. Then will follow a conference session lasting until 12.50 p.m. After lunch Bible study will bo conducted from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m., and from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. Congregational worship will be held in the evening, a largo choir contributing to the musical portion.
