OBITUARY.

MR. FREDERICK FLOWERS. SYDNEY. Dec. l(i. The death is announced of Mr. Frederick Flowers, President of the New South Wales Legislative Council. He was 64 years of ago.

Mr. Frederick Flowers emigrated to Australia from Newcastle, Staffordshire, where he was born in 1864. He was appointed to tho Legislative Council in 1900, and was successively Secretary for Lands, Minister for Public Health, and Minister for Public Instruction. He was chosen President in 1915. MR. THEODORE ROBERTS. Australian Press Association—United! Service LOS ANGELES. Dec. 14. The death has occurred of Mr. Theodore Roberts, a stage and screen actor, aged 68 years. Theodore Roberts, who was born in San Francisco, was one of the veterans of tho screon, for which he has playod in numerous character roles." Among the better known pictures in which ho appeared was " The Ten Commandments.
