OCEAN YACHT RACING.

TAURANGA AND RUSSELL.

DECLARATION OF HANDICAPS. The following handicaps have been declared for the annual ocean races from Auckland to Tauranga and Russell, which will start from King's Wharf next Saturday afternoon: — THE RUSSELL RACE. Keel Yachts, to start at 3 p.m.—Ariki, scr; Thelma, 15m; Prize, 2h; Kotiri, 4h; Waione, Ida, 4h sm: Speedwell, 4h 45m; Raugi, 4h 50m. Centreboard Boats, to start at 3 p.m.— Starlight, scr; Rakoa, 3h, Doreen, 3h 50m; Wairere, 4h 30m. THE TAURANGA EVENT. Keel Yachts, to start at 3.15 ' p.m.— lorangi, scr; Nga-Toa, lh; Queenie, 2h 45m; Vanitie, 3h 10m; Wairiki, 3h 25m; Mahaki. 3h 45m Centreboard Boats, to start at 3.15 p.m.— Starloch, scr; Celox, 25m; Spray, 45m. The question whether the race for centreboard boats to Russell should start on Saturday or Monday evening was finally dealt with on Saturday when it was agreed to send the mullet boats away with the keel yachts on Saturday afternoon. The arrangements for starting the races have been left in tho hands of Messrs. G. D. Deery, J. C. Hcwsou. J. Owen and M. K. Draffin.
