PONSONBY AMATEUR CLUB.

The Ponsonby Amateur Swimming and Life-saving Club held another series of events at the Shelly Beach Baths on Sat urday afternoon, in fine weather. Following are the results: — Inter-club Handicap, 50yds.—First heat: Walmsley, 1; Lynch, 2. Second heat. Bruton, 1 Rogers, 2. Third heat: McCarthy, 1; Coglan, 2. Fourth heat: Parsons, 1; Keen, 2. Final: McCarthy, 1; Walmsley, 2; Rogers, 3. Time, 31 3-ss. Relay Race, 300 yds, each competitor swimming 50yds.—Ponsonby (W. Stevens. D. Keane, H. Moore. W. Clarkson, W. Ramsay, G. Johnson), 1: Parnell (M. Withers, W. Wilson, A. Graham, M. Honeyficld, D. McKay. It. T. Latlimcr), 2. MOUNT EDEN CARNIVAL. The Mount Eden Swimming Club will open tho season to-nigbt at tho Mount Eden Baths. A first-class programme of events has been arranged, including the 50yds club championship. All tho local champions will compete.
