At a meeting of the Te Awamutu Elec-tric-Power Board it was decided to enter a vigorous protest; against the proposal of the Local Govarametit Loans Board to limit the term cf loan advances to 20 years with a sinking fund of 3 per cent. The chairman said the Loans Board was adopting an arbitrary attitude that mustj bear heavily on power boards. The secretary-manager, Mr. D. - Me* Arthur, reported that some hardwood poles from Australia had come to hand nobranded. As they did not comply with tbe specifications ha had refused them* The secretary's action was endorsed. .
