DIXIELAND CABARET.
Brightness and enjoyment characterised the gathering at Dixieland on Saturday evening There were many dancers present who thoroughly appreciated the music played by the Dixieland Orchestra. The frocks worn were graceful and pretty, the Victorian fashioned frocks still maintaining popularity with the dancers. Quite a number of these were to bo seen on the danre floor on Saturday evening. Among those present were Mrs. J. Wilkie, who wore a frock of leaf-green georgette heavily bended in ivory; Mrs. W. J. Biggs, beige lace over green satin; Mrs. T. Powdrill. black sequinned frock; Mrs. Woodali. plum-coloured taffeta; Mrs. W Harvey, pink and mauve georgette with orchid posy; Miss D. GrantCowen, cardinal red satin and shawl; Miss Dene Plummer. cameo pink floral taffeta with silvei lace hem; Miss E. Allison, flame shaded georgette and chiffon velvet; Miss D Vaile palest pink satin; Miss B. Hoap, apple green taffeta; Miss M. McArthur, rosewood satin and gold lace; Miss P. Lonergan, emerald green georgette and diamante trimming; Miss Kathleon Lonergan scarlet crepe de chine with gold Tudor collar; Miss E. Gill, cherry crepe de chine, beaded in crystal; Miss P. Jackson, jade green georgette; Miss W. Whitehead, lime georgette; Miss J. Wernharn, beige lace and cerise relief; Miss Elsa Hopwood, fuchsia frilled taffeta; Miss Lennox, primrose beaded crepe de chine. »
Miss N. Cotter wore pink and cream embossed georgette; Miss A. Elletfc, silver laco and georgette; Miss Olga Read, flame georgette with gold relief; Miss Carter, cyclamen lame and georgettte with shawl to tone, Miss J. Johnston, black lace and georgette; Miss Sellars, ivory frilled net and silver lame; Miss J. Johnston, shell pink georgette with black relief; Miss Z. Bisset, bois de rose embroidered georgette; Miss N. Bisset, mauve and pink shot taffeta; Miss Syms, black satin; Miss M Cooper, delphinium blue georgette beaded in crystal; Miss B. Robson, pink georgette and shoulder posy; Miss P. Robson, almond green georgette; Miss A. Cook, Indian red satin and silver; Miss Crowther. leaf-green chenille velvet and georgette; Miss A. McGregor, lemonshaded georgette; Miss Lee, flame and white tulle with silver relief; Miss M. Williams, cyclamen chiffon velvet; Miss J. James, black georgette over pink satin.
