GREENHITHE INSTITUTE.
The annual meeting of the Greonhitho Women's Institute was held last week. There was a good attendance of members. A vote of thanks to tho retiring president, Mrs. Coulam, and secretary,, Mrs. Newman, was carried. Tho names of members forming tho new committee for next year are: —Mrs. Tate, president; Mesdames Black, Irwin, Redfern, Nurse Crozier and Miss Porter. Arrangements wore made for the January meeting, when a life-saving demonstration is to be given by Mrs. Atkin, of Belmont. After tho demonstration a picnio is to be held on the lawn at Mrs. Coularn's residence. The result of the gardening competition for children was announced, . tho prizes going to Vivien Irwin, 1; and Phyllis Wafeely, 2. It was decided that Mr. Blake be asked to lecture in Greenhithe on townplanning subjects. After discussing next year's nroSamme afternoon tea was dispensed to a members.
