AUCKLAND GIRL CITIZENS.
During the last fortnight, the Auckland Blue Triangle Girl Citizens have arranged a number of festive gatherings —a community gathering, at which 36 girls and three counsellors were enrolled, a large sports day at the girls' sports ground, Remuera, and a farewell banquet to Miss Joyce Potter, who has held the position of chief counsellor to the community for the past two years, and who is to lie married early in tho New Year. The chief citizen. Miss Eileen Ferrie, presided, and spoke of tho loss they would sustain when Miss Potter left. Tributes were made also by Miss Jean Begg, general secretary, M. Taylor, member of tho girl citizen governing body, Miss A. McCrea, assistant chief counsellor, and Miss Doris Dcnnison, connsellor.
During the evoning a programme \vas presented by different groups of citizens, following which Miss Potter was presented with an engraved oak tray, carrying a tea set and fruit bowl. Tho presentation was made by Miss Eileen Ferrie.
