SUMMER OUTFITS.
The sleeveless cotton frock with a short coat to wear over it is your great summer standby, but these frocks are not much good for either town or seaside wear. For the latter a pleated white skirt, white silk sleeveless jumper, white felt hat, and short coloured coat form a perfect outfit. Tour hatband should match your coat, and if you have more than one coat you change the hatband accordingly. ' If you find white skirts too expensive for every day, have one to wear on special occasions, and another to matfch your short coat. These skirts need not have small or all-round pleating—they can be wrapped over, of have a few pleats, which you can press yourself from time to time. Blue and white always looks delightful at the ajaside, and it is what is going to be worn this year very largely. White buckskin, antelope, or strong linen shoes, beige stockings (much prettier than white), and' a blue handbag make up the rest of a most attractive holiday outfit. The latest travelling coats look jnstlike very warm cosy dressing gowns from the outside.
Made of silk or rich 6atin, they are stitched all over to give (hat padded look of the conventional type of dressing gown, and lined with very soft far, dyed to match. Neat workmanlike collars and cuffs of the same fiir are the only outdoor hint of these extremely indoor-looking garments. These coats arts attractive, and their' looseness and warmth make them ideal for travelling. They are extremely elastic, and can be worn over quite a lot of clothes, or drawn tightly over a thin silk frock. Their main smartness is their apparent absence of cut, for they have no fastening, so are i,simply held tightly together, or let fall ; nonchalantly, just m tho wearer desire!;.
