MISS SPENCER'S DANCE.
SYMONDSVILLI: STUDIO. A gala night was held by Miss Spencer at the dance studio iii Symonds Street on Saturday. The hall looked most attractive with its decorations of foliage balloons and streamers, and Mr. J. Rowe and his orchestra provided irispiriting music. Among tho new numbers that were played were "Avalcn Town" foxtrot and the waltz "Loneliness." There was a good attendance of dancers, and the evening was a great success. Among those present wore:—Mrs. Spencer, who wore a frock of black satin beaute with over dress of black lace finished with ivory; Mrs. Val. Thompson, flame taffeta and gold lace; Mrs. H. Schmidt, sea foam georgette heavily beaded; Miss Spencer, mauve satin with over dress of silver and mauve lace finished with petunia hip sash; Miss L. Thorpe, shell pink crepe de chine and lace; Miss E. Smith, apple green satin with frilled skirt of apple green tulle; Miss G. Simpson, Nile green lame frock finished with green chiffon; Miss B. Barry, apricot crepe de chine; Miss R. Anderson, powder blue' georgette finished with pink velvet hem; Miss Kent, primrose taffeta and late; Miss Lcrd, apricot taffeta frock; Miss T. Johnston, ficelle crepe do chine with over dress of gold lace; Miss B. Weatherburn, frock of opalescent sequins; Miss M. Weatherburn. Betty blue georgette beaded in white; Miss H. Smith, peach pink beaded georgette; Miss L. Allen, frock of cherry velvet and georgette; Miss Taylor, ivory lace over shell pink; Miss E. "Wickham, frock of old rose taffeta; Miss Herbert, jade green lame bodice with frilled skirt of green tulle; Miss N. Schmidt, frock of China bluo crepe do chino finished with black. Miss M. Fergurson wore a frock of gold lame and black velvet: Miss A. Stewart, bois do rose taffeta; Miss Stokes, lemon satin embroidered in diamente; Miss D. Robinson, pastel mauve crepe de chine; Miss M. Booth, geranium pink taffeta and gCld lame; Miss M. Hinge, cameo pink crepd de chine; Miss A. Christie, ivory embossed georgette and lace; Miss L. Christie, blush pink crepe de chine: Miss G. Bowen, claret velvet frock; Miss E. Fernendez, opal blue crepe de chine and silver lace; Miss Lennard, frock of black georgette with uneven hem; Miss M. Finaley, Air Force bluo velvet and gold lame; Miss B. Wheatley, leaf* green crepe de chine; Miss E. Howarth, corsage of silver lame and blue georgette skirt ; Miss V. Jackson, lemon taffeta with georgette yoke and hem; Miss Metcalfe, white taffeta with red flower at. waist; Miss L. Gillett, rose bouffant frock of rose, taffeta and lace; Miss D. King, cherry floral crepe de chine; Miss D. Blackwell, blue floral chiffon over blue satin; Miss Harding, frock of opal green crepe de chine and gold lame.
