WEDDINGS.

Waipu Presbyterian Church was tho scene of the wedding on Wednesday night of Miss Gladys Eyeleen Mac Lean, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald M. Mac Lean, of Centre Waipu, to Mr. James Hubert MacKay, of the Cove. The Rev. G. W. Blair performed the ceremony. Tho bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. Harold E. Flower, of Maungaturoto, wore a frock of white georgetto, with veil, and coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of white flowers and maidenhair ferns. Miss Phyllis Mac Lean, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and wore a frock of cream net over pink silk, with head-dress to tone. Mr. Roderick McAulay was best man. After the ceremony a dance was held in tho Coronation Hall.

The wedding was celebrated at St. Andrew's Church, New Plymouth, on Wednesday afternoon of Dr. Jessie Aloicander, twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Alexander, of New Plymouth, to Dr. Leslie M. Burnett, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Burnett, of Wanganui. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Wilson. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory georgetto with ruched ribbon roses of pale pink appliqued on the full skirt. Hor train of ivory georgette was lined with palo pink, and she wore a veil of Brussels taea and carried a sheaf of Madonna lilies. Miss Clara Alexander, sister of the bride, was chief bridesmaid, and wore a frock of yellow georgette with petalled skirt, and Miss Jeau Burnett, Wanganui, was in gold frilled georgette. Both worn tulle veils to match their frocks, held in place with bands of gold leaves, and carried bouquets of orange and gold Iceland poppies, gerberas, aquilegias, and gold and green maidenhair fern. The two little train-boarers were Margaret and Alox. Alexander, nieco and nephew of the bride. The little girl wore a frock of apple-green georgette, and the boy a page suit of cream satin. Mr. R. Burnett, Palmerston North, was best man, and Dr. G. Evans, Wanganui, groomsman.
