ADVENTUROUS GIRLS.

News was received in Auckland last week that Miss de Haviland and her girl companion, who started on October 11 from Birmingham, England, in a tiny motor-car to journey round the world, will leave San Francisco by the Tahiti on December 26 for Wellington. After reaching New York from Southampton Miss de Haviland and her companion set out in their tiny car across the Continent from New York to San Francisco on the first really adventurous part of their tour. They propose to spend 11 days in New Zealand and will then go on to Australia, India, thence across Europe and home again.
