AMERICAN SAILOR'S FEAT.

LOS ANGELES. Oct. 17

By remaining in an out-door pool in Los Angeles for 65h. 2m., James Cherry, a former navv swimmer, set a now world endurance record. Emerging unassisted, he afterwards performed tricks for the talking movies. The previous record was 61h. 50m., held by Martha Hilda, in Texas. That record was set a few days after Mrs. Huddleston Aad established an earlier mark in New York.
