This lias caused consternation in fho ranks of (lie French Lawn 'Tennis Federation, which regards it as a distinct blow to the maintenance of French prestige. As a countcr-movo the federation has prohibited inter-club tournaments and has relinquished its right to hold the Davis Cup finals in Franco. These will probably bo transferred to Brussels.
