HOTEL AT TITIRANGI.
A project to erect a four-storey modern hotel at Titirangi is described in an advertisement in this issue. A company. Hotel Titirangi, Ltd.. with a- nominal capital ot £SO 000, has been formed to acquire the property and tearoom business of Mr. W. A. Bishop and to erect a hotel capable of accommodating 63 guests and including a tearoom, roof garden, ballroom and' basement garage. The building proposed is to bo fireproof, with central heating and all modern conveniences. The company went to allotment on' October 2 and over 2000 shares are stated to have been subscribed for by residents of tho district. It is considered tho provision of an up-to-date hotel would make Titirangi the equivalent to Auckland of what the Blue Mountains are to Sydney, with tho advantage that one resort is half-an-hour's run from tho city and other 100 miles,.
