FINANCIAL COMPANY.
FORMATION IN SYDNEY. BOND ISSUES CONTEMPLATED. (Received October 13, 12.15 a.m.) SYDNEY. Oct. 12. One of tho most powerful financial grou{ s ever organised in Australia has just been formed, apparently to operate js do the American bond-issuing houses. This is the Australasian Bond and Trust Company, Ltd., which was registered today in Sydney. No prospectus has been issued nor aro tho directors named, but the signatories include Sir Hugh Denison, Mr. Theodore Fink and others of the wealthiest men in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
Their purpose, it is understood, is largely to finance local governing authorities, who are now almost solely in the hands of the Stale Bank and the insurance companies.
