MAYOR'S HOUSE ROBBED.
THEFT OF THREE WATCHES. BURGLARS AT CKRISTCHURCH. [DT TELEGRAFII —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH. Frdar. After ransacking four rooms of the Mayor's house in Tennyson Struct, Beckenham, last evening, burglars took away a gold presentation watch and two ladies' watches. Their exit was a hurried one, and it is thought they were surprised by the arrival of the Mayor's son at 9 p.m. A littlo later the Mayor, Rev. J. K. Archer, arrived, having been summoned from a gathering held to welcome the All Black footballers. Tho intruders gained entry to the house through a window which had been left open. ,
