Henderson and Maefarlane, Limited, have received ndvico that the steamer Kinross, which Btranded on Cato Island last Monday, has been refloated and has resumed her voyage from Nauru Island to Melbourno. THE HAURAKI. The Union Company's motor-ship Hauraki is to Bail for Wellington, Melbourno, Adolaide and Sydney this afternoon - in continuation of her voyage from Pacific Coast ports. KAIKORAI RECOMMISSIONED. After lying idle off Campbell Point-for some weeks, the Union Company's steamor Kaikorai was recommissioned yesterday.' She borthed yesterday mornincr at Queon's Wharf to take in bunkers and stores, and last evening sho was despatched for- Westport CABLE STEAMER IRIS TO DOCK. The Pacific Cable Board's steamer Iris will be removed from her mooring to the Dock Wharf this morning preparatory to being docked for annual overhaul and refitting at. the beginning of next week. She will probably be in dock about ten days. WAIPAHI LEAVES SUVA. The Union Company's Island steamer Waipahi was despatched from Suva with a fmit cargo for Auckland at 1.15 p.m. yesterday. Tho vessel is duo on Wednesday morning, and sho is to be despatched on her return trip to Fiji at mid-day on Thursday. THE MAUI POMABE. Tho Government motor-ship Maui Pomaro will come out of dock this morning and berth at King's Wharf to load. She is scheduled to sail for Apia and Nine Island on Tuesday morning to load for Duncdin, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. THE TOFUA. Tho Union Company's Island steamer Tofua will bo removed to North Wall this morning to continue her overhaul and survey. She is to resume running in tho Fiji, Tonga and Samoa Island Borvice at the beginning of November. WESTMORELAND FOR FINAL LOADIN The Federal Lino stonmer Westmoreland arrived from Wellington early yesterday morning and berthed at King's Wharf. Tho vessel will complete loading at Auckland, and next Wednesday she is to bo despatched for London, via Panama. The New Zealand Shipping Company are the local agents. ULIMAROA DELAYED BY STRIKE. The Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa, which was to have left Sydney for Wellington yesterday, is delayed owing to.the waterside workers strike. In consequence her departure is indefinite. Sho is tho only Sydney passenger steamer scheduled to arrivo at or leave New Zealand next week. STEAMERS BARBOUND. The Union Company's steamor Kaimanawa and the Westport Coal Company's steamer C'anopus, which have been barbound for a week at Westport, were unablo to sail for Auckland yesterday, and there wero no prospects of their departing before to-night. Tho Union Company's steamer Balls Head was again barbound at Greymouth yesterday, but it was hoped that sho would sail for Auckland last night. CANADIAN WINNER DELAYED. Tho Canadian National steamer Canadian Winner is duo from Montreal lato to-night or early to-morrow morning. At noon on Thursday the vessel was 453 miles from Auckland and was being delayed by fresh westerly gales. Her general merchandise cargo is for discharge at Auckland and Wellington. DUE SHORTLY. Although not reported by tvirelesß yesterday the Norwegian motor-ship Lionel i 3 expected to arrive from Galveston, Texas, about Monday. She has a full cargo of sulphur for discharge at Auckland, New Plymouth, Adelaide and Port Lincoln. Cargo for Auckland will be unloaded at Central Wharf to the agency of Messrs. R. Millar and Company. The vessel was at Auckland in January, 1927. She was then .on her maiden voyage. PORT DARWIN DUE TO-MORROW. Further wireless advice from the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer. Port Darwin states that she will arrivo' from Liverpool ut ten o'clock to-morrow morning/ The vessel has 12 passengers for New Zealand arid cargo fiom West Coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, Wellington and Lyttelton. Cargo- for Auck land will be unloaded at Queen's Wharf to the agency of Heather, Roberton, Limited. RIMUTAKA'S VOYAGE. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner' Rimutaka, which arrived from Southampton and London on Thursday night, berthed yesterday morning at Queen's Wharf to land passengers, mail and cargo. From Auckland she will go to Port Chalmers and Napier to completo discharge. The vessel sailed from Southampton on August 30. Near the Azores phenomenal electric storms were encountered. Off the West Indies on September 13 she was on the outer edgo of the hurricane which devastated the islands in the Caribbean Sea. The hurricane was estimated to huve passed 75 miles in front of tho Rimutaka, which evaded lh» storm by running with tho wind on tho quarter. Colon was reached on September IG, and Balboa was cleared tho following day. Boisterous westerly weather prevailed when the vessel was about 2000 miles from Auckland, and westerly gales and high head seas delayed her considerably during ths last two days of the voyage.
