PAPAKURA ORPHANS.
SUCCESSFUL LADIES' NIGHT. [BIT TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PAPAKURA. Friday The Papakura Orphans' Club held a ladies' night last evening in the Paragon Theatre, Papakura. The attendance was large and included many ladies. Official visitors were present from the Devonport, Onehunga, Pukekohe, Otahuhu and Tamaki Orphans' Clubs. Tho interior of the theatre was tastefully decorated. Tho programme, which had been arranged by the president, Mr. W. K. Francis, who presided, included items by the club's orchestra, under tho conductorship of Mr. Phillip Hardman, and by Messrs. A. Allen, Kernot, Duncan Black, Will Roberts, V. Elliott, Graham Holder. Norman Tato, Rox Yates and the "Three C's." Tho evening concluded with dancing.
