STRUCK OFF THE ROLLS.
FORMER HAWERA SOLICITOR. LAW SOCIETY'S APPLICATION. [lit TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Friday. The Court of Appeal this morning made an order striking Michael Bedo Maher, a solicitor, formerly practising at Haweri, off tho rolls of the Supremo Court. It was alleged by Mr. A. It. Meek, counsel for the Law Society, that Maher had failed to pay into his trust account certain moneys received by him on behalf of clients and, further, that ho had wrongfully paid money out of his trust account and had failed to account for certain moneys received on behalf of clients. Maher did not appear and he was not represented by counsel. Costs, £ls 15s, were allowed the Law Society.
