WHANGAREI NIGHT TRAIN.
REQUEST FOR SPEEDING UP. [n\* TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGARET. Friday. Mr. H. H. Sterling, general manager of railways, has been asked by the Whangarci Chamber of Commerce to have tho night train from Auckland speeded up and to havo tho Whangarei station promoted on tho grade list. Tho latter request was based on tho steady progress of tho district and increasing volumo of business. Mr. Sterling slated that ho would give both matters his immediate, and if possible, favourable consideration.
