SHORTHAND COMPETITION.

AUCKLANDER SUCCESSFUL.

The results of the semi-annual international- shorthand competitions of the Sloan-Duployan Society, England, includes an Auckland success. Entries in the various classes were received from all parts of the Empire, the silver medal in class 11. for the best paper in reporting style being won by Mr. John W. Davidson. of 48. St. Stephen's Avenue, Parnell. This is the first New Zealand success to bo recorded in these competitions. The new Colonel Watkins Challenge Cup was won by Mr. Harold J. Russell, of Winnipeg, Canada.
