WEDDING IN ENGLAND.
{from our own correspondent.] LONDON, July 13. At Stoke D'Abernon, near Cobham, Surrey, the marriage took place, on June 30, of Mr. Walter R. Cox, of Birmingham, son of the late Mr. Percy H. Cox, of Wellington, and of Mrs. Cox, now of Christchurch, with Miss Kathleen Blackburne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Blackburne, formerly of Christchurch, who now live mostly at Alassio, in Italy. The marriage was performed by the 'Rev. A. S. P. Blackburne, Rector of Stoke D'Abernon, in the beautiful church of that parish. He was assisted by the -Rev. 11. G. Blackburne, for some years Yicar of Palmerston North, and now Vicar of Tilmanstone, Kent. Both of these clergymen are uncles of the bride. The Rev. A S P. Blackburne has been Rector of Stoke D'Abernon for about 30 years. He is a New Zealander by birth, having been -born at St. John's College, Auckland, in 1860, when his father was warden of that college, and ho is also a godson of both the first Bishop Selwyn and Bishop Patteson. The wedding was a very quiet one, the party being confined almost entirely to the near relatives of both families now in England. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cox spent their honeymoon in Normandy. Uieir futuie home will be at. Sutton-Colclfield, a suburb of Birmingham. . -Air. Cox holds an appointinent. with one of the largest English firms of electrical engineers, and is on the staff of their Birmingham branch.
