PRIMARY SCHOOLS MATCH. The Show Grounds group team will play tho Eden Park group team under the auspices of the Auckland Primary Schools Rugby Football Association at the Domain this afternoon, commencing at 3.1 D. KEFEREES' A SSOCI AT I ON. The Auckland Rugby Referees' Association met last evening, .Mr. P. Mackie pro--81 Abetter was received from a correspondent at Oliaea-wai requesting decisions on points submitted. It was decided to refer the matter to tho North Auckland Referees' Association. It was agreed to commence practice at the Ponsonby training shed on Thursday evening at eight, o'clock in preparation for the match at Helensville. Mr. G. Grigg read a paper entitled Ino junior referee —his methods and difficulties." He was accorded a, hearty vote of thanks. KAIPARA COMPETITIONS. TEAM TO PLAY WELLSFORD. [i; y TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT, [) HELENSVILLE, Monday. The Kaipara Rugby Union's competitions were continued on Saturday. In the Primmer Knock-out Cup, Parakai, 21 v defeated Waimauku, 6. For Parakai C. Keane (2), J. Povey, C. McLeod, F. Osborne scored tries. C. Keane converted three. Helensville, 22, defeated Kaukapaka_pa, 6. after a good game. Nest Saturday, Parakai meet Helensville in the final. These teams have met on two occasions this season, Parakai winning tho first match and Helensville tho secoaid. Next Saturday's game is being looked forward to with much interest. In the third grade competition, Waimauku, 5, defeated Parakai, 3, arid Riverhead. 9, defeated Helensville, 0. Waimauku are now level with High School, who were leading until Saturday. High School still have one match to play. During tho Parakai-Waimauku match J. Pryor, of the Waimauku Club, had the misfortune to break his leg. He "was Bent by train to the Auckland Hospital. The following team has been selected to represent Kaipara against Wellsford at Helensville next Saturday, and to train for Brake Shield matches: —Fullback, J. Peneelly; threequarters. A Dye, C. SUVA August 10. The final selection of a representative team to meet the Auckland University College Rugby team which is coming to Fiji by the Tofua next week, will be made on Saturday night. (several practise matches have taken place on Albert Park and the final will be held to-morrow afternoon between two well-chosen teams.
