TRIBUTE TO MR. JORDAN.

PROPOSED TESTIMONIAL. Arrangements aro being made to pay a farewell tribute to Mr. W. J. Jordan. M.P. for Manukau, who has been chosen as one of the New Zealand delegates to tho Empire Parliamentary Conference in Canada. It is proposed that some form of public testimonial should be prepared, and a meeting is to be hold in the Strand Theatre, Onehunga, to-morrow evening to discuss tho question. The outlying districts of the electorate have already formed committees with this end in view. Tho meeting will bo attended by representatives from the committees formed at Ellorslie, Panmure, Penrose, Kohimarama and Mount Roskill. Wide interest in the . project has already been evinced by resi dents in all parts of the electorate. Mr. Jordan is at present in Wellington, but will return (o Auckland toward the end of next week, in order to leave for Canada by the Aorangi.
