LECTURES.

Dr. W. H. Pettit will speak, under the auspices of the New Zealand" Bible League, on Miss Maude Hoyden's address, '■' Can We Put the World in Order." in the concert chamber of the Town Hall, on Wednesday evening nest. The first lecture of the course on home nursing will be given to ladies by the St. John Ambulance Association at the Ambulance Station, Rutland Street, on Wednesday evening.
