DOG ATTACKS CHILDREN.
OWNER TO PAY COSTS. Savage dogs were characterised as a danger to the public by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday, when he ordered Harry Shearer, middle-aged, to pay 16s as costs on a charge of owning a dog which attacked children in the street. It was said that a man and two children were passing the dog when it snapped at them. "Keep him tied up in future," said tha magistrate, when imposing the penalty.
