Despatches from Berlin give details of further anti-Italian demonstrations last night at Belgrade, the capital of Yugo-. slavia. Th'ey state that 150 persons were arrested. The police used their swords and rifle-butts and severely injured 50 students. Italy's demand for an apology s'or the previous demonstrations provoked the crowd to attempt to storm the Ministry of the Interior, and the police and military were soon involved in a general melee. Some of the demonstrators built barricades, from behind which they were ejected early this morning. Many had sore heads before the streets were cleared. Almost simultaneously with a report from Vienna that Signor Mussolini had demanded from the Belgrade Government immediate satisfaction and reparation, came a report from the same source that the Yugoslav Foreign Minister, Mr. Marinkovitch, had sent a senior official to the Italian Embassy to express regret for the incidents. The official promised the Ambassador a written Apology. A message from Belgrade says students sought to prevent the police entering their corps house. Constables, supported by mounted gendarmerie, stormed the high steps of the building. Several gendarmes arid four studc-nts were seriously injured and 26 others were sligh l .!y injured in sanguinary hand-to-hand fighting. FIBM NOTE FKOM HOME. DEMAND FOR REPARATION.
