KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR.
[by telegraph.—own correspondent.] HAMILTON, 'Wednesday. Head injuries and a bruised shoulder were sustained by Mr. John Pearoe, aged 25, motor salesman, of Hamilton, who was knocked down by a motor-car in Bridge Street, Hamilton East, last evening. Mr. Pearc® was walking from the bridge footpath when the accident occurred. It was stated that the car did not stop aftar th* noddcsK.
